植物总让人们为之惊叹，并给人类提供衣食住行。这些只是千万敦煌和青海湖植物中的很小一部分。一路旅行，一路收集他们。我收集的第一个植物是被昆虫啃食而留下很多空洞的叶片。他们给我的第一印象不是被虫蛀病怏怏毫无生气的东西，相反是一种另类的美好，残缺而完整。吸引我的还有这些植物不是想象那么脆弱，是在很严酷的自然下都很好生存着。被制成标本的一刻起，它们逃离了原本生老病死的宿命，随着时间没有消逝，而被完整得保留了下来，成为旅行的最好纪念。

哥本哈根世界气候大会的会议结果让人失望，希望所有人都能关注我们的生存环境，如果环境继续恶化下去，首先遭殃的很可能先是野生动物，所以做了这个木板雕刻“长颈鹿化石”。不希望等到这些动物灭绝以后，只能在化石上去想像这些美丽的生灵。保护环境，从我做起。
