本以为充其量不过就是一次扭伤，事实上我的脚却肿成了两倍大，还伤痕累累，青一块紫一块的。源于坐船游览，这又是另一个故事了。

经过X光检查后确定了伤情，8周的恢复期彻底浇熄了我新年假期去北海道滑雪的计划。我在诊所上了石膏，收获一对拐杖，设想着单腿滑雪可能是下一个人生目标。

对于我的灾难有些小失落，摆动着我那平凡无奇的鞋（类似石膏保护套那种），被我们天赋异禀的艺术家Emilia Bergmans发现了，她决定把我这双奇烂无比的鞋改造一番。我们从一些球鞋的图标上面找到了灵感。一边改造成了樱桃红的匡威全明星Chuck Taylor纪念版，另外一边则是纯白的耐克跑步鞋。

The hope was that it was a severe sprain, despite the fact my foot had swollen to double its normal size, and was displaying all shades of purple, black and blue …some boat ride, but that’s another story.

The break was confirmed on xray, an 8 week sentence of recovery delivered dashing any hopes of riding that Hokkaido powder snow over the CNY holiday in a weeks time. I left the clinic with foot in cast, a pair of crutches, and wondering if 1 legged skiing may be the next big thing.

A little down at my recent misfortune, and rocking a rather plain looking shoe-like cast protector, one of our highly talented artists Emilia Bergmans offered to transform the dull tan cast protector into something more. We decided to take inspiration from some iconic footware that happened to be in convenient reach. One side would be painted a Cherry Red Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, and the other a pure white Nike Air Max.
